tl:dr the whole thread, but were the Mk7's offered in Australia with a 103TDI and recently changed to a 110TDI? I thought I saw some references to a Mk7 w/ a 103TDI.

Hi Guys,
Just got my Golf 90tsi DSG and I have noticed that it seems to be a bit shaky and jerky at slow speeds/low revs (Like when you're stuck in traffic). Has anyone had anything similar?
Cheers
Are you talking about engine vibrations or drivetrain vibrations?
Is this your first DSG.? It could be normal!
Looking for:- RS4 B7 Avant.
Current:- Amarok V6 Sportline; Mazda CX-9 Azami AWD
Previous - Mk 6 R manual; Mk 7 R manual; Passat 130 TDi Wagon. Mk 7.5 Wolfsburg Wagon.
I have another observation..
The cup/can holders in the centre compartment. They are sprung abit too tight! Difficult getting a can of coke in and out.. ended up spilling it all over the gear console!
Audio: I picked up my new 103TSI today and can't say I was "blown away" by the audio quality. I think it is in need of a subwoofer at a minimum!
Did close to 2k by now - very happy with the car, especially with fuel economy - the official claim of 5.7L/100km is achieved and sometimes beaten easily. However I do notice a strange...I'd say rattling/crackling sound, when I accelerate in 2nd gear. It seems to be associated with the turbo and it only occurs in 2nd gear, only noticeable when you roll down the window - not sure if anyone here has similar experience. Should I be worried?
Oh btw, saw another 90tsi comfortline with manual in pacific blue in a high school near Kardinya, I have to say that's a beautiful colour, if it weren't for the waiting time that colour would be my pick.

Just read exzibit's post in MK7 90 TSI Issue, I think this is what I mentioned above..

Sounds like pinging you are describing there, and if it is, your Pistons and big end bearings are under quite a bit of stress during that. Generally can happen under load, boost, and/or if poorer fuel is used. Definitely don't keep pushing it if you hear that sound and get it listened to by an expert.
