My experience so far with the VWR springs has been good I think they are comfortable for a sport suspension, I definitely have had worse than this with other cars with springs, I would say it gets more bouncing yes, but not in a extreme way, off course it would be more stiff than the oem but they still good enough to drive , it all depends on the road I guess , the steering improves a lot and the handling of the car is so much better now, and it was quit good already , I would recommend them if you are thinking in getting them, I wanted to have them when the new set of wheels arrive because I am staying with the same 19" size so in this way the wheels will have an appearance of being bigger with out changing the oem configuration, and they will look sportier as well.

Sergio, thanks for your initial thoughts. I think the message here is that no matter what the manufacturers of these products say, the ride will be compromised to some extent. Therefore, it's up to the individual to decide on what they are trying to achieve and what their priorities are. Clearly, these priorities need to be improved look with a lowered stance and the car sitting flatter during spirited cornering. You say the steering improves, but I can't see how the same 20mm reduction in ride height, front and rear would affect this. No matter, as long as it's no worse.

you will find the steering improvement is due to less body roll due the the stiffer springs in addition to a lower centre of gravity

    Static Cornering Lamps

Shortly after taking delivery of my R in October 2014, I replaced the stock Philips H7 55W bulbs with Philips H7 55W WhiteVision bulbs (Made in Germany), and couldn't be happier with the result. The mismatch of the light colour between the stock H7 bulbs with the Bi-Xenon bulbs couldn't be more obvious. Admittedly, there is still a colour difference, which I could have eliminated if I had chosen the Philips CrystalVision bulbs, but there are some technical shortcomings with this bulb (such as reduced intensity), so I stuck with the WhiteVision.

    Technical Specifications

    Philips H7 55W WhiteVision
    Colour temperature: 4100K
    Lumens: 1500 lm
    Lifetime: B3/Tc = 200/450 hours

    Philips H7 55W CrystalVision
    Colour temperature: 4300K
    Lumens: 1140 lm
    Lifetime: B3/Tc = 200/400 hours

After-market globes can be expensive, and their life expectancy lower than stock/standard globes, so it pays to shop around. I purchased mine from Blingwork Automotive Lighting in Clayton VIC. They also have a website for purchasing on-line (Blingwork Automotive Lighting). However, I purchased directly from them, as I could test different bulbs in a controlled environment, where their warehouse has a white wall, ideal for making comparisons. They are expert fitters as well.

Ask for Joe Kwong or Howe Li, who are great guys to deal with.

Thanks for the review mate. I'm still considering these, but the roads aren't that great where I live and I'm in comfort mode most of the time on the DCC. Tough decision for me... Comfort vs Looks & Improved Handling...

yes Mikey I think the ride is compromised, but like I said is possible to live with that , my wife says my car still softer than her scirocco R, the only difference is when the road gets bumpy, then you can feel the jumpy suspension, other than that I like it overall.

Yes that's what a thought, I also don't know why but I feel more noticeable the punch of the acceleration, it may be because the firmer suspension makes the car more steady so the body moves less and the lower centre of gravity could make it cut better the wind, but I notice a bit more fun when I push it, but I have to considering that my car has APR ECU upgrade and intake so it could be just product of my imagination

I would recommend you to try a car with the suspension on and see how it goes, then take a decision from there.

What is the general consensus on the best value/quality downpipe kit for the R? A lot are shipped internationally so I am wondering if some are actually found locally and are more cost effective.

I dont want to pay an arm and a let but I also dont want a piece of junk.

    Any feedback would be great.

I think the cheapest catted DP that is good brand/ quality is CTS looking about $1000-1100 for it.

They ship from the US dont they?

If they can be sourced locally where is the best place to get them?
