Anyone thinking of or done sway bars? After all my power mods etc, I'm now contemplating upgrading handling a bit.

Looking for better handling/cornering without major upgrades or losing too much ride comfort!

    Car not tracked at all.

Or Anyone with the VWR springs. Are they worthwile handling upgrade. Just looking for bit better grounded feeling.

    Thanks.

I am in the thinking department on sway bars for my R too. I have the VWR springs and in my opinion worth it from a handling and looks perspective. They have reduced body roll with car sitting much flatter through the corners. If you are not tracking your car, the springs would be all I would do. If you are going to regularly do track days then sway bars are worth it. I do track mine hence why I am looking at sway bars to really tighten up the body roll. Probably go with the VWR option on these too

    Hey all,

Been a while since I have posted and have an interesting one for you all. Would love to hear if anyone is having the same issue.
Had the haled pump fail on me about 2 months ago and got that replaced under warranty. was pretty interesting driving the R as a FWD car without halex. Got dragged by an Aus Post van If anyone is interested happy to provide info on what happened for the masses.

My main concern at the moment though, is that every time i do some "enthusiastic" driving, when i get out of the car, there is a very strong clutch smell. By enthusiastic I mean, revving to 5000 in most gears and giving it a push through some twisties for about 10 km. Car is completely warm including oil etc. This is after 10 minutes of cruising prior to pushing the car at all.

Is this something that others have experienced, or potentially a suspect clutch / DSG problem??

    Welcome peoples thoughts on this.

    Thanks

    Blabba.

How many kilometres do you have on the car? Haven't yet had that issue and I have done a lot of sustained spirited driving let's say.

Just about to hit 19k. It's been very noticeable for quite a few months. And that's even after a few k's cool down.
If you take it s dealer it's impossible to re-create for obvious reasons.

Was it there before the haldex diff was replaced?

Think so. Just seems more prevalent since. So could be related.

If you think the smell was there before and if it was then you would hope it would be coming from elsewhere
