Damn it Mikey, I'm another R owner switching back to the ubiquitous Pure White I did find my lapis blue R whilst occasionally stunning a tad loud/purple in real life, whereas white particularly in the Mk7 R with Cadiz rims is classy and timeless, always popular, and with many suitable aftermarket rims which will work. I may at some point look at changing rims, most likely black Oz Racing Ultraleggas as I like the black and white theme.

Mmm, we need one of them for the wheel thread.

And you know I approve of the OZs, not like some of these other guys whacking Japanese wheels on.

Well OZ Racing is not going to satisfy the "Made in Germany" purist either. As a token measure to the Fatherland, I will be fitting Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's, which are only made in Germany. This way, I can live with a mixed marriage of car and wheels.

Also Dane Lascelles was the person I purshased from.

    Good luck with negotiations

Cheers Jase. Yep I'm going with Southern VW. Dealing with Deb down there. A mate of mine is a Tech Trainier for VW in Sydney. He says they're pretty good from a Service Tech standpoint too.

    To save everyone looking it's advertised for $56,500. Here's the link: 2014 Volkswagen Golf R MY14 Direct-Shift Gearbox 4-Motion

Though there are also quite a few dealer demos on there with similar options for not much more.

Agreed. When you factor in Victorian stamp duty and VicRoads transfer fee of $2,414 combined, this brings the total outlay to $58,914, which is pretty much what you would pay new with a corporate and dealer discount.

Yes I think the guy is dreaming as the dealers are $58k drive away for effectively the same thing.

He would need to drop the price at least a couple of grand to make it even slightly attractive.
