My wife just took my golf r out for drive and totally unimpressed! Says under 3k rpm it's just a normal car.
What's best way to improve that low down power/torque? I'm thinking once available intake/tune from apr?
LOL, good to see your missus is keen for more performance.
I'd be looking a stage 1 tune to start with, and if this is still not cutting it, look at stage 2 with the dump pipe - you can play with intakes but in terms of bang for buck there is little there. Of course we're still waiting for most of software and hardware to become available locally although that shouldn't be long now.

It sounds like your wife has stepped out of her Porsche 911 Turbo or Mercedes C63 AMG, and into your new toy, and was completely underwhelmed by the experience, or perhaps you married someone like the "Queen of the Ring" Sabine Schmitz, and you will be the envy of every male petrol head enthusiast in this forum!

My wife is comparing it to the TT supra she had which had intake, full exhaust and tune getting 220rwkw. Totally different cars but now said no way to s3. She will probably go for m135i and get tune on that which should better her supra!
Will get apr stage 1 tune/intake for the golf in dec sales! At least I got go ahead for mods already!!
Have you seen Jeremy Clarkson's highly publicised spin of an unmodified M135i when driving on a rain soaked tarmac at 120mph? Clarkson Spins M135i in Top Gear Review (Video)
The M135i is a nice car, with a fabulous engine and ZF auto transmission, but unless she enjoys hanging the tail out when driving near the limit, I'd look for something which go around corners like it's on rails, something like what you drive!
