+1
I have seen their costings sheet for the new R (dealer gross margin, holdback etc), there is no way they would sell a dsg / leather / sunroof (normal driveaway without haggling of $65k+) down to $55k, unless the buyer is happy to wait for 3 years! (near new used, ex demo, etc).

I've calculated one drive away at around $61k drive away. I Havnt included dealer delivery though as I'm not sure if this is included in the car price?
I bought my golf r from denlo vw in parramatta for $55k - 5 dr manual, ACC, leather with 19s.
Audi s3- fully optioned rrp $75k roughly... I have an offer on the table of $67k drive away...
The new S3 is an amazing machine and in my opinion ****s all over the R. It's no way I would be paying anywhere near $60k for a R as I would pay the bit extra get a S3
2014 Golf R on order/ white/DSG fully optioned
u did not mention 'manual' mk7 R, hence i assumed you were aiming for $55k for 'dsg' / leather / sunroof including gst, ctp, rego & dealer delivery; which i would say 'Good luck'
there is no manual yet!
depending on when u bought your mk 6 R and many other business decision factors (by the dealership) plus when there is factory bonuses involved the discount can be extremely good.

I read somewhere the glass can be removed, tint applied and then reinstalled. Some may think this is an invasive process, but I guess you need to find an installer who has already done a few, and is confident in doing yours without damaging any trim and window seals. I have also read some owners don't bother, but I think it would look incomplete if all the other side windows were tinted.
