Any recommendations for Melbourne tinters who can tint the R/GTI front passenger/driver windows and particularly the little quarter panel near the RV mirror cheers

Also wanting to source aluminium OEM look R dead pedal covers (had them on my GTI)

I went with Allianz. They didn't have it in their system either. Agreed to manually adjust the policy to reflect the 2014 model until the full details were available. $808 I think it was

I had Allianz do a quote on my GTI and it was decent, but they suddenly invented a $2k theft excess (without tracking device) which never existed on my Mk6. Not sure if they're doing it on your policy, but forced me to consider alternatives.

Just got off the phone from Allianz. After 5 mins of the usual questions, they said that as this high performance (read targeted by thieves) car is not garaged overnight, and as Allianz are a premium insurer, they are unable to insure my R. Humph!

What is the front bar made from? Those guards look a little more pumped as well.. so I'm assuming it would need fresh ADR perhaps. IIRC the previous Audi RS3 never made it here because the front guards were carbon or something which didn't meet ADR specs (despite it being just fine for Europe).

I'm guessing the pricing could get ugly too - would be cheaper to go stage 3+ with APR and co, although minus the factory warranties.

Regardless, thumbs up to VW for actually going ahead with whatever the planned run is. More crazy needed.
