I'm sure Ryan will excuse you. And with respect to the 200 launch limitation, check out this site: Audi's secret launch control limit.

It sounds like it applies to all their DSG (S-tronic) cars.

Still better than the R35 GTR which would void warranty after 3 launches.
I believe they revised that for the 2013 model though.

What are peeps thoughts on Lapiz Blue? My last few VW's have been white and I'm wrestling with the choice of a daring switch to Lapiz Blue! (the white R is pretty plain) It is after all the signature color of the Mk7 R..

Personally the too best color options are the limestone grey and (it's not available on the R ) carbon steel. The white looks too bland especially once you see a S3 in glacier white, black... Nuff said i.e. never has, is or will be clean for more than 5 min. Blue/red too boy racer. And silver well it's ok....
But these are just my opinions and carry not weight

If we went Golf R, it would have to be Lapiz Blue, hence the S3 we're getting is Sepang Blue. But colour is definitely a personal taste.
Ordered - Audi S3 Sedan in Sepang Blue (BW 29)

^ Agree on carbon steel Alex, I find limestone grey too brown tho and is common on low spec Golfs (would have preferred Mk6 United Grey).

Anyway have pulled the trigger on the R (couldn't ignore the price savings on the R circa $9k on an already heavily discounted S3 with Pp):

Lapiz Blue, DSG, Leather, Assistance Pack, Tint + Solargard Film (latter on std privacy glass), full tank etc $58.5k (corporate plus + prexisting dealer relationship).

Test drive sealed the deal, angry growl on flooring it, DSg farts ++, utterly stable and planted on the road, no rattles/squeaks, comfy leather seats, sat nav below par but only a occasional use item, led lighting A1, more spacious than S3, 2 dead peddle footrests key for me on long drives (no right dead peddle on the S3), overall a powerhouse!

Great price you've been able to negotiate, congrats Andrew7.
