Manual seats are quicker to adjust and suit me fine. If anything I'd only prefer the back angle adjustment to be electric instead of having to reach for the rotary knob. But for adjust the rail position manual is fine.
Looking for:- RS4 B7 Avant.
Current:- Amarok V6 Sportline; Mazda CX-9 Azami AWD
Previous - Mk 6 R manual; Mk 7 R manual; Passat 130 TDi Wagon. Mk 7.5 Wolfsburg Wagon.

I have seen white, black, and blue in person; I definitely prefer white. I too think white is the pick of colours for this car and that is coming from someone who drives a black on black on black car. My preference would usually be for black or grey, but I'm diggin' the white.
choosing/buying the golf R is even more difficult now
Subaru WRX STI priced under $50k
Yeah would be surprised if it doesn't look good, but would have to see one before I can comment, has to have the panoramic roof when going white, breaks up the car nicely
Wrx are rubbish imo, cheap interior boring body, Subaru had the market & let it go years ago, shame really.. But saying that they have come in at a much fairer price then before 10k off old price, bad luck for those with the old model though lol

Not sure what is wrong with VW sales people, walked into Audi dealership, wearing just 3/4 pants, polo, and sneakers, "can I test drive the S3 please", just need a copy of your license please, here are the keys, have fun. Went to VW dealership, can I test drive the Golf GTI, sure, copy license, and he takes me out on the test drive, he tells me "we have to come along so we can limit the amount of kms put on the car".
And last weekend, Audi Centre Canberra had a loan RS4 Avant from Audi Australia, can I take that out for a spin, sure, here you go! And that is a $150k + motor vehicle!

Ordered - Audi S3 Sedan in Sepang Blue (BW 29)
Really depends on the dealer, I went to an Audi dealer wearing smart jeans and a shirt was very knowledgeable and whatnot. Was basically told I can't go for a test drive unless I was going to buy today! This was during the Open Haus event and I can tell you, the only thing that was open was that dealers rear end post pole removal.
Mean while most local Skoda dealer gave me the keys and said try not to wear out the front tyres too much.
I find VW dealers somewhere in between, with pretentiousness increasing logarithmically as you get closer to a CBD
MY16 Octavia RS 162 Race Blue Combi
MY12 Skoda Octavia RS 147 Black Combi - Sold
talking of colors my dealer does have a red R meeting my specs (DSG, driver assist and leather), looks pretty sharp I must say and will be relatively rare. Thoughts? (and yes I do like white but am trying to "break out" of the whitegoods brigade if possible![]()
I'd give it serious consideration. It looks good on the R and will be fairly unique - can't imagine too many will be coming in. The white just isn't really working on the 7 R for me at all.
As above I think this definitely depends on the dealer. My local - who I admit not everyone particularly likes - has been great for me and pretty much allowed me to take cars as required for as long as wanted. They're even taking me to the football next month.. small things, can't complain. I think the tag of pole in arse dealers in Adelaide goes to the local BMW guys.Originally Posted by Longy
