what's difference between CNL and OFF button for cruise, seem to do exactly the same thing?

Off disables the cruise control function so it's not turned on at all while cancel just stops it maintaining its set speed.

Still don't understand difference in practise, you can hit 'resume' regardless of hitting CNL or OFF first? Would have thought OFF wouldn't allow you to hit resume until it was switched on again (how it works in my other cars)

Don't see why resume would work when the system is set to OFF, it doesn't in my Mk5 Golf

This is taken from VW website:

"The first step is prepping the cruise control system; to do this, simply press the on/off button that resembles a mini speedometer icon. Now, you’re ready to set your preferred speed. Press the “SET” button to select a cruise speed. Before you initiate the system, be sure you’re in a safe environment, such as an open highway. Avoid activating the system in heavy traffic or harsh weather. Modifying your preset cruise speed is simple. Press the “+” or “-” button to increase or decrease speed by 1 mile per hour. When you’re finished using the system, apply the brakes or push the “CNL” button to “cancel.” Hit the “RES,” or “resume” button to reactivate the system when you’re ready to use it again."

    Hi All,

Considering a white R Wolfsberg Wagon with Sunroof, dealer demo (1400km). Any thoughts on what a decent price in Queensland should be? It's 17 build but MY18.

    Thanks,
    Karl

Hey, I wouldn’t pay more than $62K, drive away, there must be a few dealerships keen to move them.

I thought the R wagon or even Grid was probably looking attractive price if it needs to be ‘new’

I've just always been extremely wary of dealer demo's, full stop. With a large and unknown number people having driven them from new, unsupervised, and with no mechanical sympathy whatsoever, I'd avoid them like the proverbial plague. For instance, there's not a snowflake's that it's been run-in properly. You'd need a super discount to even consider it, even considering the warranty.
