Where is is R400/420 at the Frankfurt Motor Show guys? I thought it was supposed to be announced...anyone have any more info?
Hi Guys, has anyone bought a VWR R600 intake? or any other cold air intake for that matter? Reading the guff on the R600 intake, one thing is alludes to is it can reduce heat soak which is one thing I am interested in? Interested in any thoughts particularly from tuned vehicles?
I have, but I havent fitted it yet.
Compared to an open filter, definitely, you will reduce heat soak.
Compared to the stock airbox I wouldn't imagine a huge difference in intake air temps. You may see marginal power/response gains over the stock airbox if you're tuning the car, which is where the main benefit is over stock. With the higher airflow from higher boost, a freer flowing intake will be beneficial. It's never going to be a huge difference, but its the cost versus gain which you need to weigh up.
this is an old review but finally the english subtitles are available
Bob Jane has a special on Continentals at the moment. Looking for a little extra width to fill the space and the extra few mm in wall height to smooth the ride a touch. Was thinking about ContiContactSport5P in 245/35/19 on the Cadiz wheels. Should fit with standard suspension?
Just had my first 15k service and was happy that the cost was locked in at $372. I spoke to my mate who bought a AMG
45 at the same time and his service cost him $1000.00 bucks. He was absolutely piss ed. He said that the diff oil need to be replaced and this was originally an unscheduled service up date by Mercedes, he is wondering if they have had diff issues causing the concern. I guess thats what u have to pay for a car a 1/2 a second quicker.
