Lapiz Blue DSG Golf 7R
Just a multichannel plug and play tuning box that attaches as shown in picture. Its about the same cost as a proper tune and i had to go this way as i live in Darwin. It has a 1-9 dial on it to adjust the power available and comes standard on 6(approx +55hp/95nm)Done 20000kms with it on and no problems. Its one of the more advanced tuning boxes out there.
They are almost ready to release their remote tuning service so ill be getting rid of it in the coming months. They wanted to use my car for hot tuner this year as well (they tuned the lambo that won the hot tuner last year).

VWVortex.com - 3.67 0-60 with APR Tune/VW600r intake
Hi All,
Just looking at Mod for Golf R Mk7, which Intake upgrade would you use.
APR Intake Vs VW600R intake?
Cheers.
Neither make any real gains in terms of performance. Maybe +10/15hp and slightly better throttle response. Best bet would be to contact Guy Harding at Harding performance as he is APR/VWR in Aus and would have a better understanding of pros and cons and i believe he has dynoed both.
I personally have the APR one(had one since they came out last july) and find little difference to stock other then greater intake/turbo noise.

These are the gains on the Golf R with intake (over a stage 1) there is not enough air demand on a stock car to warrant an intake for performance, but yes on a tuned car.
We have run the VWR and APR intakes back to back & can not split them for performance. It really comes down to which look you prefer!
Use the higher green line over the top of the blue one for gains of the intake.

Thanks for sharing Guy. How about the sound of the intakes? In testing the VWR and APR intakes back-to-back, is one louder than the other?
Interesting comment here regarding turbo failures...
