That's sounds like the plastic trim near the sound aktuator Andrew. I had the volume modified via vcds and the problems gone.

^ Thanks Kimba, I haven't adjusted the volume yet but have a mate nearby with a VCDS cable so that will be a good thing to action next week (along with a few other VCDS tweaks I have been wanting to do) BTW, what volume did you adjust down to (60% seems to be a common target)?

Same TC, only at low revs ie 1,500-2,000rpm

Sounds hollow and farty. I prefer the stock sound - esp inside the cabin - much meatier.
