I have a white R which I picked up new at the end of April. It has done under three thousand kms. I had originally ordered a manual gti. The gti was delayed, the R arrived, I drove the dealer demo and the rest is history. Four months later part of me wishes I stuck to the original plan. I definitely prefer manual to dsg. I know dsg is faster etc etc. I am considering selling the R privately. Pm me if you are about to spend many thousands more on a new one and join a waiting list. Thanks.

My sentiment as well about manual vs DSG debate. However, you might change your mind when you do the sums and realise that if that's the only reason for selling, it's not going to be worth it.

Where and how can I do this?

Is there any reference online to how to change the key fob cap from the standard silver to the R one?

I looked in the manual for how to change the key fob battery - Once I had the cover off the key it was pretty straight forward.
