So any news from insurance Andrew7
2019 MY19 Mini JCW Hatch
2016 Holden Astra RSV - Waiting for New Golf
Noy yet Spikeyboy, car is sitting in Benalla which may as well be Mars for the Melbourne based Insurers! Evidently they will assess it tomorrow. Can't imagine it is salvageable. I get a hire car as part of ins for 28 days so gives me time to sort out a replacement hopefully (can borrow a family car). Choices are: another R (this time pure white, a little cleaner and less flashy than my Lapiz Blue- the R performance/grunt was awesome but questioning the need for 210kw in our current nanny state), candy white GTI PP (? Better handling/comfort, good performance), or a wilcard a Passat Alltrack (I'm a keen skiiier and we will be giving up a company car Alltrack next month, it's been a great all rounder btw). Will be an interesting choice.

Golf R evolution
Nice work sergio.
For those looking for snow chains for the MK7 R:

Actually, found some team_vKonig Magic K7 Snow Chains | Roof Carrier Systems "
Just got back from 2 fantastic days at Mt Hotham. This is a serious access road in poor conditions and the resort requires diamond chains. My contacts on ski.com.au pointed out the above chains as one of the few options for the MK7 R.
BTW, thinking that I'll just get another R this time in pure white again with leather and DAAfter all, what a car!
Andrew 7 I would get another GOLF R after all that car save your life, I would definitely get another one since you already put it to the test.
Mine is white with the leather, driving package and roof, and I have to say that it looks great in that color.
