That is strange, my mk6 is just normal interior and does the mirror down, the trick being to ensure you leave the mirror adjuster knob twisted to the left adjust position when engaging reverse.

If it's like our Tigs I believe it has to have the electric seat as it uses the memory module for seat to control that function?!
Can get around it by using Autopolar FIS+ module that plugs into CANBUS controller and can perform that function (amongst other things).....

Mine too. You have to put the car in reverse with the knob set to the left and adjust the mirror to where you want it. After that it should move between the two positions when you change into and out of reverse. If you don't do the initial set up it won't move.

Is it solid or a mesh material ?? and is the sunshade electric or manual?
I'm 6ft 5 too and I always notice a car with a sunroof. I havent had a chance to sit in a Golf 7 with a sunroof before but according to the specs you'll lose about 11mm of head room, which can be quite a bit depending on how you sit.

Front Headroom - 975 mm (964mm with sunroof)

I'd suggest either try sitting in a Golf with the sunroof and maybe the R with your hand on the roof to emulate.

Is the robina dealership doing decent deals on the R? I found all QLD dealers **** last time round and I ended up buying a R from Melbourne- fully optioned R for $55k .. All QLD dealers were low $60s..

Just ticked over 1,000kms today in my R. Still loving it. No real issues from what I can see. My second tank of fuel wasn't as economical as the first

Sat in a golf R with a sun roof (I'm 6 4) I don't really like sun roofs. There is a mesh screen that still lets in light/heat when closed. The mesh is manual but the glass panel is electric. I also don't like how the glass panel slides on the top not inside the roof. my old liberty a sunroof retracted inside the roof itself and was great.

What is everyone doing (or have done) about window tinting? Anyone have 35% and think it is adequate, or prefer darker (perhaps up to 20)?

And for some of us that might just be the reason we prefer it over the more in your face "R", might be an age related issue

^ Well the same accusation has been levelled at the R by many folk i.e too staid. and by the way I'm over 40 as are many other R buyers Audi has it over the R from an interior perspective but I think the R exterior looks sharper (particularly in Lapiz Blue and Limestone Gray)

Re tint I having my front windows tinted with "Octane" tint from tint-a-car. Hard to legally go much darker.
