Further research has revealed its not just us. Blame emissions regs. Hard to get rid of properly too

    Hey Clutch team!
Just off the phone to NPC in Brisbane, they confirmed they make the Harding Performance clutch, so you might be able to save a few bucks going directly to them.

Rang around a few places, and think I'll book it in with Bayside Performance, they do a few high performance VWs, now. Hopefully I'll have change from $3K...

Today was the day the NPC Kit (above) was installed at Bayside Performance Services, and top blokes they were.

    The 2min drive review.
    - 0-2000rpm on or off throttle there is chatter (but racecar)
-The bite point is just off the floor (but racecar).
I would say that both these features will get better with time.

    It has 30km of driving.
    - The pedal feel however is stock

I was going to baby it for 1000km as recommended by NPC, but Ill re-install the JB4 at the weekend and do the odd pull every now and then over the 1000km, see how shes holds.

    NPC
"The recommended bed in period is 1000km’s of regular driving.
Avoid any clutch dumping during this period. You can lean on it but don’t go thrashing the car in this time.
If the clutch does slip then get off the pedal immediately and let the clutch settle in more.
1000km’s on the highway will not bed the clutch in. You need to drive the vehicle around town and go through the gears as much as possible because the engagement of the clutch is what settles it in."

Is it meant to sound like a bucket of stones?

    EDIT:
    Done about 750km now
Turned the JB4 back up to Map6, so over 200kw at wheels
Turned Starting Vibration off and turned On Increase traction on via OBDeleven/VCDS
    Bit of a weapon now.

Just a update on the NPC heavy duty Organic Clutch (NPC make the Harding Performance kit) with is a single mass unit.

The Feel: Same same, if not a touch softer
The Take up: its still right at the bottom, ie not a lot of travel
    - I had to remove a couple of washers from my clutch stop so it felt like it had some travel....
    - I have taken out the bleed restriction, which might help bring it a touch higher, maybe not sure

The Chatter: Yes there is chatter, not sure if we have gotten use to it, or its a lot quieter.
    - It was like rocks in a bucket, so maybe it is a bit better with a few km on it.

Ive turned the JB4 up to 11 (map 6) with about 200wheel kW, and all is well

How is this clutch holding up if you don'd mind me asking? I've had a Southbend stage 3 daily for 90k kms now and it's just starting to play up. Looking at options.

Hey sorry, don't come here often now.

Yea going strong, has about 200kw/400ish Nm going thru it, it's the same as the Harding performance one, which they have a car that is full stage 3 (I believe) and takes it.

I thought south bend as the best.
