$45k sounds like a good deal. Do you think a dsg with all the options (leather, sunroof, driver assist, xenons but no tint) for $53500 drive away is a good price? Reasonable?
Its a tad over 2 years old. Bought Oct 2011. Dealer has put $32k on the sticker price...most are going around 30-32k at dealers. nearly all dealers were going to give me $22k as trade which I am finding is what most people are getting? No didn't try to sell privately. Not that big a market for them where I live. I will sell but think will take a while

Hi all,
just a quick vid, taking the GTI for a belt around the block. Testing out the Gopro too, hence the mount in view
No speed limits were harmed in the making of this video.

I know its been out for a while, but the VWA ad for the Golf GTI is so yawn inducing and boring that it always removes any urge for me to go and give it a test drive.
Of course its boring because of all the pensioners constantly complaining about 'intentional loss of control' of cars in ads and thus we're not allowed to see the international version (which also can't be shown since it has the 3 door deemed not worthy for us), but the Octavia vRS ad could be played here in Australia and its one of the best car ads of the year.

...but you have seen the slidey ad along with all the other enthusiasts, so what's your problem?
Besides everyone besides those two groups either A) won't care, or B) will be a hater who claims that a FWD hatchback can't drift in the real world so it must be fake.
Oh it does. Either that or something else is locking individual wheels that you can't see thanks to the clever photography, and/or they've employed other trick techniques (uneven tyre pressures, super-stiff rear sway bar, etc) to get the car very taily for specific shots. The surface is also wet/slick in places, as you can see from some overhead angles (eg 1:05). Even something as neutral as a RS Clio wouldn't handle like that 'normally'.
It's a great ad though.

Wasn't there a behind the scenes video? I watched it... there was a fair bit of accidents IIRC. I thought I posted the link here.
