Hi Guys, long time reader of the forum. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on a quote of 52.5K for one with DSG, leather, sunroof and bixenons. Expected delivery is sometime in Feb. The quote includes corporate discount of 2k. I am not sure whether I should wait till Feb and negotiate then when there are a few more cars available with possibly these options.

Given that the GTI has just been released and you have got a 2k discount for a car that has to be built/delivered, I would say you have done ok. Only you can decide whether to pocket the 2k now or trust your negotiation skills when the cars arrive to get a better deal. The other option is to ensure your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel

44k base
approx 4.5k on roads
2k xenons
3k leathers
2k sunroof
-----------
approx 55.5k

so discount isn't too bad.
Tell em to throw in the metallic paint (if not red and white) and tints too
also check if the corporate discount gets u free servicing too.

Does anyone who has ordered (but not received) have a tracker number yet? Can we track the build like the uk can?

A number of us have been given dates from December to March but I suspect they'll all be on the same boat

Been told my car will be built 28th of this month. So should have a vin number in the next few weeks, then it's the long boat ride to Aus.
