I just noticed that the Comfort and Highline versions get the "Driver Fatigue Detection System" which i assume is the Lane assistance.
Annoyed we didn't get this option as well in the GTI...

Nah its a separate system to Lane Assist (which is a camera unit mounted next to the rain light sensor). Driver fatigue uses steering wheel sensors, this Octavia video explains it rather well (same system in the golf of course).
