Initially my heart said hold off and have a look at the R/S3.. then my head said what do you really want out of this vehicle and what are you willing to spend to achieve it. With a newborn the head ruled this time around; maybe next time (although I said that with the mk6).

If a low mileage Sepang Blue sedan became available in a few years at the right price though..

If anyone is near Bankstown Airport right now - you can see a few R and GTI PP models for yourself. I just saw about 15 of them as part of a VW experience day. It is wet but they are at the end of the main entry road near the small passenger terminal. Red GTI PP, lots of CSG, some white, some white R's, blue etc.

Better be quick... I was driving down Marion St and saw the distinctive LED tails so followed it all the way to the mother-load!!

imo a better option would be for VWA to offer a steering wheel with shifter paddles like everywhere else in Europe. Far more useful and practical.

I'm confused. I was referring to the rear tail lights. The DSG does have flappy paddles on the GTI and up

(And you can retrofit them on lower models if you find them for sale in Europe)

I thought this was pretty interesting, since quite a few people cross shop the GTI with the A250...

    Benz sells out - motoring.com.au

"To help combat wait times on the CLA 250, MBAu took the decision to upgrade the local offering to the 4MATIC version. Early purchasers of the car were upgraded to the all-wheel drive variant at front-drive pricing."

Very good move from both a technical and customer service point of view!

Any of them complain about the increase in fuel consumption that will bring?

Yes that is understood. I was referring to providing the paddles as an option on both Comfortline and Highline models. Its a European option!
