I would love to see a twin turbo diesel in a golf as well but im guessing VW are holding back because there is no fwd dsg capable of that much torque, the dsg in the more powerful Audi's are all longitude. I'm hoping this changes in the future...

The golf dsg can handle that if tuned properly - tuned GTD's will exceed that torque figure: 125TDI tuning??
MKV Golf 2.0 TDI DSG Sportline. Just nice.

There is a difference between what a gearbox can handle and to what the manufacturer is prepared to support, car makers tend to over engineer most things to protect themselves from warranty claims.

As it is VW do not offer any longitude dsg gearboxes with more then 380nm, even the larger v6 engine Passat only has 350nm.

    When will we see it?

Red GTD with nice leather [not Mercedes man made] would be my choice. But when will we see 'em here?
