Maybe $29.5k is the signing point then. Or at least get a few freebies thrown in for a signature today.

That's really good, we are looking at getting the same spec (in relfex silver) around end of this year, hopefully we will get the same deal! Which Melbourne dealer did you get the quote for if you don't mind me asking?

Got a quote from a regional dealer, for a Comfortline wagon with metallic paint, mats, front weathershields and reversible boot mat for $31200... I hope I can push it down to $30k!

Hi Guys.. It has been awhile since on this forum as life got busy. My wife still has her 2011 Jetta 118 Comfortline (which suffered the DSG issues but please to say they are sorted). I'm potentially looking at downsizing my vehicle .. was thinking of a Golf Wagon, but was pretty impressed with the hatch in the end particularly with the R Line package (I dont need a GTI but like it dressed up a little). Dealer has one on floor with Xenons and Sunroof. A quick read suggests the DAP is a worthwhile add. Is this something that needs to be ordered in build phase or is it something that could be added to the floor car if chose to throw that in the mix. I assume it is not an absolute must have but a worthwhile one? Thoughts..

It would need to be factory ordered. Haven't seen any retrofit kits and if one did crop up I can't imagine it would be cheap given the radar unit that needs to sit in the front bar and who knows what other modules and coding to get it working properly. It's not something I'd want to be trusting..

I was never going to use it so saw no value in optioning it; however those that are using it swear by it. Ultimately test the unit out and establish for yourself.

Keep in mind that with MY15 production just around the corner you'll lose the ability to add xenons, so you may need to choose between that and DAP.

The R Line is a nice looking ride though..

I haven't really done too much research on it but probably place it in the "nice to have" rather than necessary so probably share your opinion there. Certainly wouldn't bother with getting it if it wasn't anything more than a straightforward dealer option. Are they withdrawing.xenons on the my15 model? Is info on changes released somewhere I should look at to assess? Dealer has about 43.5 k drive away on floor but that's a starting price that needs to head south. Thanks for your response
