    Hope you used the brakes and it hasnt really broken yet LOL

    If it changed down and the revs didnt increase it would stand on its nose rather quickly

    Just fast downshifting, with the throttle being blipped to rev match... High-tech stuff, from Lamborghini, Ferrari et al... How are you finding the car as a new VW owner?

    Adaptive (or fuzzy logic) automatic transmissions may have been considered high-tech stuff 25 years ago, but many vehicles these days come with this sort of technology in one form or another, irrespective of gearbox type (torque converter, automated single or double clutch, CVT).

    I think the updated 6 speed auto in the Holden Cruze does similar.

    I like the car so far! It is very fuel consuming on my 90TSI. Average consumption is 4.9L when driving 80% on the highway.
