I've ordered the speakers from that site you mentioned. Thanks for that. Much cheaper. Did you get the VAT back ? some countries offer it back if the product(s) leave the country. The extremeaudio website did say -ex VAT which I thought said less VAT but when it pushed through to Paypal it was inc VAT. Oh well.. only another $50... $1000 for 2X ISVW155 here, $530 landed. Can't complain. I did reach out to a local installer (of Focal) that tried to talk me up to all the bits and deadening for $3,500. I don't like my wife THAT much.

Gotta find someone to install them now.

I've never thought about sound deadening anything. My A4 NVH is very good and having B&O factory really made me noticed the sound out of my GTI. Hatches are always a little more noisy with the hatch area acting like a sound box... never thought of throwing sound deadening stuff at it.

I note that you mention Big Dog Roll. There's a real rabbit hole on sound deadening. And huge swings in prices.

Well. I'm 75% complete. Only the front two tweeters to go. This will be next weekends project. Sound deadening added to the doors during install of the speakers.

Worth ever cent of the $520 (thanks Lucus where to but the speakers) and $280 of Focal BAM XXXL sound deading.

So I have around a meter left I think (not unrolled).

Where would you put it as a priority? I'm thinking boot (in around wheel well) or would you distribute it between the boot and under the rear seat.? (under the carpet out of the question... cannot be arsed stripping the car THAT much.. )
