    Mk7.5 Golf R Wagon - Wheel Profile

Hopefully someone here can help me out.

I'm in the process of ordering a Golf R Wagon Wolfsburg, but want to option wheels with a bigger profile. I've been looking at the 18" motorsport wheels (5K0071498AAX1) instead of the Pretoria's that come on the Wolfsburg spec.

Is this going to help out?

Dropping down an inch while give you some more sidewall so yes - although unless you've got the right dealer that will be a pretty expensive 'transfer'.

Also would be worth considering what other quality 18 inch options are out there, many that will look a lot better than the VW Motorsports, albeit I understand the attraction to an OEM wheel. Depending on what color your Wolf will be I'd be considering some of the other OEM options around as well.

Refer the Mk7 wheel thread and/or link below.

I could be wrong here, but I believe you’d also be going from a 8” wide wheel to a 7.5” wide wheel. Doesn’t seem worth it to me.

    Yes - Motorsport is a x 7.5 wheel.
