To be fair, didn't even get close to the 62 and change on my Wolfie order and I haven't heard of anyone else getting that good a deal so far! My thinking for a fully specced standard R would have been super low 60's or 60 on the dot from the things I've heard, though I'm sure as time goes on (and if corporate is a thing) it'll get better for us.

I've been trying to work out if the Golf on the Volksfest ad is in Atlantic Blue. If it is, it's gorgeous. At least I got to see Tungsten Silver before I bought my Mk7 in it but my local dealer didn't have anything in Atlantic Blue. Seems like it might be a popular colour.

While we're here, though, has anyone heard the poverty-pack speakers that are getting forced on the R ? There not being much interest in the Dynaudio Debacle might mean the standard kit isn't too shabby after all.
Bad news Steve, the stock speakers are crapola. Well, chances are average joe wouldn't be too phased. To be honest though, it sounded worse than the stock speakers on a mk6. Not sure if that's because I was blutoothing into the system as opposed to cable.

And.. in my moment of weakness, I lumped a deposit down on a Wolfsburg. Feeling like I should have waited at least until the official launch in 15 days just to make sure Dynaudio doesn't suddenly bounce back as a normal option, but like I said, moment of weakness. Dealer isn't sure yet he can get what I am looking for, but if he can't I get the deposit back so no love lost.

I actually thought they were ok, but I didn't blast them.
My stock speakers in my mk7 GTI are fine so I would assume they are the same...

Wolfsburg just a tad too much more for me, I prefer the wheels of the stock R over the Wolfsburg, and then not fussed on the seats and carbon fibre mirror caps, only thing I'd get it for would be the dynaudio, but 4k more just for that... If I could score a Wolfsburg with Sunroof for under 65k then I would but my negotiation skills are poor and I don't want to wait till Jan for it.

No, Bons, don't be like that ! You're on a VW forum here - we're all devout enough to sign up for constant and regular ear-bashings by some real live-and-breathers, day in and day out. I'm just luvvin' the devotion to both sound quality and the much maligned, yet high specced, quality German auto brand. Forget the mortgage, power bills, and your exhausted supply of Sorbent - you plump up for that over-priced, limited edition, dealer-loving money spinner no matter what the cost. You've really got me asking myself ... should I really get the kids all those Christmas presents (and food/clothing) come December, or should I blow it all on a Wolfie. Despite the ugly, black rims (right Kenny?) and weird mirror caps, I'm actually considering it now. But with a small gap in proceedings, just to make the distributor feel the rage.
