How does the yellow look in real life by the way? I see one there beside the blue in the backgound of your photos. I thought it might be "the" colour in them based on photos to date, but it can be very deceptive in real life a colour like yellow, if not done well. Done well, I think it can be amazing (like MB and Renault have done), but generally it is not.

It's more of a dark yellow goldish colour. Actually looks good but not an option for the R. I do like the blue, looks great and will be my colour if I end up getting it.
I have also attached the gold colour for you and some other photos.

You mean not available as a colour for the R? Sad as all the international promo shots of overseas perf pack R had it in the gold complete with Akra exhaust. I thought they may bring them to Aus...

Just going by the spec sheet I posted above. I'll ask tomorrow.

So looks like its confirmed that the R and GTI will have the double DRL for each headlight with this stated on their site?
"Good looks have been enhanced thanks to new exterior styling, impressive dual LED daytime driving lights and distinct LED rear taillights."

Yes! Dual led drl this raises my hope that the led taillights will be "distinct"

Yeah that's the premium led taillights with dynamic indicators for the R. Dunno about that for the gti though other than performance edition 1. Do you get to see any 7.5 gti around that dealer?

Yeah there was a Red one next to the R. I'll see if I can get a photo of the lights when I go back.

From watching you tube vids i don't like the normal l.e.d vs the dynamic ones they are better than stock bulbs tho from the 7
Just love the way the indicators scroll across pls smoky glass seals the deal

i agree. It looks like the AU spec gets the standard non dynamic LED tail indicators. Would anyone know if you can get facelift EU spec dynamic tails and fit them in a AU facelift golf with out modification other than coding? I would imagine the electrical connectors would be the same since they are both LED lights.

The facelift Golf 7 has two versions of LED tails---low line and high line. Low line is standard and has static blinkers. High line has dynamic blinkers. The tails for the Variant are similar to the Golf 7 low line tails, but with some physical differences in shape due to the shape of the rear hatch on the Variant. However, it appears that all of these tail light housings (Golf 7 low/high, and Golf 7 variant) use the same connector on the inner tails.
