Mk 6 was Rising Blue.
Mk 7 Lapiz Blue.
Mk 7.5 Atlantic blue.
Seems they change the hue each time.

Hmmm recalled being shown Lapiz blue as an exclusive colour for the 7.5r though. But that was months ago and might be outdated info.

Penrith, NSW. I was told though that all dealers had received one (not sure if that was NSW only or country wide), just not sure if they have them on the floor yet or not.

Spoke to my dealer who advised that they will be receiving one this week.
Organising a test drive.
Comes down to what price and trade in I can get.

it's the same lapiz blue, the blue shades look different due to various lighting

Atlantic blue is the non R type colour

Question for me I have a mk6 R only 70k kms now do I but a 7.5 or wait for the 8? Do we have any idea what the differences will be at this stage

You'd be up for quite a wait, Paul. With no official release date, and at the rate VW are yanking equipment from the "R", you'll be left with some seats, steering wheel and AM Radio, arriving some time in 2020.
