We're leaning towards a Golf GTI dsg with the audio system option pack and the DAP option.
- the new digital info cluster, is it worth it? It looks really nice but I've read it's not as good as the Audi digital cockpit. This is honestly half the reason I want this option. Is it laggy?
- how are the drivers seats without the luxury package. Is there still adjustable lumbar support or is this just on the luxury package. My old xr5 had some of the best seats I've ever sat in and had some amazing lumbar support.
- what should I be paying for a new model? I've done the rrp on the website and its over 55k for the 2 options +DSG
- I'd like a tow bar to use possible once a year to tug
something home from Bunnings. Is this an issue with DSG?
-I assume I can easily fit a stroller and baby seats etc without any issues?
- does VW have any finance option or specials? I've seen other brands do 2.5% or even 1.9% finance options.
Many thanks.
I agree with dutch the digital cluster is just great clear and sharp no lag at all plus if you have/know someone with a obd11 cable you can reprogram your dash to the golf R dash which looks way better than the gti dash all the dash's of the different models are stored in there just takes a quick code to change my alltrack now can do 320kph
The seats are great i have driven a 7.5 gti and for the seats well bolstered and comfortable will be able to put many miles under the wheels without numb bum syndrome
The audio pack is a good pick i love the 9.2 inch infotainment screen (just keep a micro fiber cloth nearby it collects fingerprints) and the dynaudio is just a great sound system you have 2 ssd slots in the glovebox so can have as much music as you like (or can afford lol)
Yep sub 50K or walk out the door and find one that will end of month is your time for that esp if they are low on sales that month
Towbar with a gti dsg? It will handle a bunnings trailer no problem but i agree with dutch just rent a ute or better yet have a friend with one
Just don't try to reverse it up a steep driveway as it will slip the clutchs all the way up
Stroller and baby seats no issue the 7 series golfs are surprisingly roomy
Again i agree with dutch on finance the low rate= no discount like a store card whats on the sticker you pay that's how they make their money on the low interest
Or if colour is not a issue i would look for a demo model with the options you want you might save a bit
Good luck and welcome to the gti experience
