Michelin Pilot Sport 4S current Deals or Sales anyone

    Hi All,
need to replace current tyres on my MK7 R with some Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 235/35R19 tyres.Best I can find online is at Tempe Tyres for $328 fitted.
There was a post earlier about some deal at Bob Jane Hornsby for $279. Contacted Bob Jane 2nd day from when I saw forum post and deal was no longer being offered.
So if anyone knows of a good deal for the Michelins 4S can they advise me,thanks.

Last time I needed tyres this was an active thread Good price on Goodyear Tyres

Might be worth a call to Rupal @ Goodyear Croydon (03) 9725 4633

I know you are in Sydney, Rupal helped me out by fitting to some used rims I bought from another forum member and shipped to me in Brisbane, worked out cheaper all up than anything local I could find.

I purchased as set of Michelin PS4S 225/35ZR19 for my Golf GTI Performance back in August. Unfortunately they were just released so no real discount or cashback - they gave me the superseded PSS price - $425. Jax have them for $419 plus cashback - a good deal.

Didn't have much choice - it's my wife's car and after 30K the Dunlops were pretty marginal.

Jax Spinning Wheels and Tyres can do $344 each after cashback. Their website price is $369. Jax dont want to give me their discount at all that's why I am still hunting around.

Hi guys, got them fitted the other day.Managed to get them for $325 each fitted from Bob Jane Haberfield. They just price match best quote I could find on the net.
The $100 cash back offer only applies if your paying the recommended retail price, not the discounted price.
Tyres at the moment are super quite, but that could just be because there new.Only thing I don't like at them so far is that rocks stay stuck to the groves on them .The brighestones seemed to shed stones from the groves.

Can highly recommend Mobile Tyre Shop for their care and service if you're in Melbourne or Sydney. They beat the price on my local Bob Jane and Tyre Plus and best of all they travel directly to you at home or work. Paid $379 each fitted.

FYI, Today I got these 235/35/R19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S fitted at Bob Jane Castle Hill, Store Manger Brenton offered $349 each plus $100 back for 4 so it works out $324 each.

I also got Amex offer, spend $400 above at Bob Jane to get $100 back, that works out $299 each, I have no complaint!

I have not installed my new wheels on my R36 yet, but I do love the thicker rim protector, it covers my 9 inches wide Bentley wheel very well !

I don’t know what it is that Michelin do with their tyres but I like it. I had the MPSS (predecessor to the 4S) on my last R manual hatch which I traded a month ago for a 7.5 DSG Wolfie Wagon. The Wolfie came with P-Zero’s. The Pirelli’s are good in the wet but not right in the dry. The Michelin’s made the car feel like it was rear drive. They had progression and give where the Pirelli’s are just hard. The Pirelli’s feel like they’re made from porcelain in comparison. Maybe they’ll last more than 25,000 kms?

There is a particular right hand, sweeping, corner that I have to slow down to second gear, 3000 rpm, due to a big tree root in the tarmac which upsets the traction control otherwise. Once past the bump I would open the taps and the Michelin’s really gave the impression that the car was driving from the right rear tyre. The fronts never felt like they were stressed. With the Pirelli’s, and the Bridgestone’s before the Michelin’s, I just don’t get that rear push feeling. It’s all numb. Hard. No communication.
    Looking for:- RS4 B7 Avant.
Current:- Amarok V6 Sportline; Mazda CX-9 Azami AWD
Previous - Mk 6 R manual; Mk 7 R manual; Passat 130 TDi Wagon. Mk 7.5 Wolfsburg Wagon.

Yeah, I dumped my Conti factory tyres on my 7R and recently fitted PilotSport 4s. An awesome tyre, so much more confidence on turn-in in the dry and better feel mid-corner as the car loads up too.

I had PilotSport 2s on my old Mk5 GT Sport and that was night and day difference from the original Contis.
    MY08 Mk5 GT Sport - sold
    MY14 Tiguan 118TSI - sold (Mazda3 SP25GT in its place)
MY16 Golf 7R: sold (Caterham Super 7 and Hyundai i30N in its place)
