I've found Carplay to be more stable, AA can be a bit hit and miss for the initial connection, I guess it depends on the Hardware/Software revision of the Android device.

So I took my car in yesterday to get a bunch of things looked at, including the software. It misbehaved as I left the house so I took a video (black screen, iPhone saying it was an unsupported accessory) and they initially told me it would need a new head unit. On collection, they simply upgraded to software version 0624...

So let's see what happens from here.

Well, it doesn't seem to have fixed the 'ParkPilot Not Available' error as I got it today, only 3 days after the update was applied.

Funny you should say that Matt, I have had the 'Park Pilot Not Available' error pop up during the week a few times now. Was living in hope that the SW 0624 had fixed that issue, well (touch wood) that the screen has not blacked out yet.

Haha, yeah. No dead screen or CarPlay issues so far. It seems a bit faster than before so they've clearly done some good with 0624 but it looks like another update will be required for ParkPilot.

That sucks! That update actually solved all of my issues.
I upgraded my phone and now fortunately I no longer have connection issues with Android Auto. Works perfectly every time.

Had my screen replaced last Friday with the same unit. Was told by the dealer that the Park Pilot software fix is yet to be released.

Yep, they are currently in the process of making S/W to fix the park pilot issue.
