Not having much luck with the download. Keeps crashing on me. Have tried several times. Anyone else having these issues or am I the only one?
UPDATE: I'm done with the update. I have wasted over 100Gb of data on several attempts to download this update. It keeps crashing.

I had similar crashing dramas last time. Ended up installing a download manager. Pulled it down in 10 mins. Haven’t used one of those for years. :facepalm:
I was having issues not with the download, but with the unpack (decompression) - keeps telling me there are faulty segments in the file. I've downloaded it several times to check (100MbPS, FTTP, unlimited data helps) but every time - same result.
I think I'll wait until the localized file set is available from the navigation.com site.

Have tried twice at home on my "fast" ADSL2 broadband connection (3.5mbps :() each one taking 20+ hours to complete.
Both failed when unzipping with errors.
Tried 3 times at work (10MB/s), 2 failed when downloading, 1 when unzipping.
I just took delivery of my new Golf "R" Mk7.5.
I did not receive any SD card or CD with or for the maps. The maps download windows app seem to require a VW SD card.
Any advice ?

you can use any SD card to import map updates, as long as it’s big enough. Safe to go for a 64 GB card.Quote:

Has anyone extracted this file error free on extraction?. I get 1761 errors on extraction and if you have extracted and get the errors have you still tried to do the update and does it work?
I did get the errors on extraction. I don’t recall getting the errors on extraction on the last update. Will try the download again over the weekend. I wouldn’t be game to try to proceed with the update if there is corruption.Quote:
