Yes, it's 22 x 1GB files — or 1 22GB file.
I'm wondering, since I've unsuccessfully tried 2 issues of the 2013 maps on my 1st series card, whether I in fact have a 2012 unit (car is Jan 2013 build, July compliance.)
To this end I'm currently downloading the 2012 file, will see if it works — if it doesn't, I've wasted 66GB of bandwidth (no wonder the 'net is so slow...)
Does anyone know if the SD cards we get have an inbuilt write limit like the UK ones? If so, and given that VW do a victory dance every time they sell a replacement, we'll need to watch ourselves...

Also I see where the confusion with file size has come from.
The one for Discover Media (which is marketed in Australia as Discover Media Pro, We don't officially have Discover Pro in Australia) is 345mb.
The Discover Pro map update (the one with the massive screen that we don't get) comes in multi-part making up a total of 21.1gb.
So unless you bought the big screen unit after market, you just need the 345mb update in my original link if you have the stock satnav.
Tho I take the point that 345mb for the entire ROW seems to be too small. I'll download, extract and report back to the group.

Cool, did you just drag the 345MB (418MB extracted) worth of files into the card? And overwrite?

Yup, back up what you have first just in case.
Checked the archive as well, only has Australian and NZ map, not the rest of the world as the name implied. Hence the small file size.

Bloody hell, not enough diskspace...176MB free only!
I'm hoping removing the za directory is enough...
