Hi Peeps,
I've got a MK7.5 R 2018 Hatch that's touching 30,000kms. I'd like to get a major service done for the car.
Looking for any recommendation around NSW 2207 area if possible to get the work done. Thanks!

Some of these might be worth considering. This same question was asked a few days ago (thread linked below)
VW Village in Kensington
Central Autohaus in Alexandria
Wolfsburg Motors in St Peters
Techo European Motorsport in Caringbah
Southern Eurotech Automotive in Kirrawee
Workshop recommendation for suspension work - Sydney area

Out of curiousity, how often do you do a major and minor service?
should be doing ur 1st major service on the 60,000km mark.
anything before that is literally overkill you might even find you can go longer than 60,000km for ur major service.. its cheapest to do it yourself because it really isnt that hard with the right tools / if you have a garage.
just have a look on youtube. everything is there.
a simple oil change will be saving u a couple hundred bucks a pop... literally takes 10 minutes to do... just need to open the oil pan drain plug and let it empty .. put the plug back in and refill from the top and insert new filter. the Dsg oil is nearly as easy just need a few of the right allen / hex tools and a 1ltre filler pump.
haldex is as easy as the engine oil... but for some reason haldex and DSG service are ridiculously expensive (preying on noobs)
to change ur front brake pads i think u need a 16mm hex socket (u need to double check that).. undo a couple of bolts at the back of the calipers and the top should come off easily. u pull the pads out with a screw driver and put the new ones in.. done.
If you wanna change the rotor u need to undo 1 screw and give it a couple of bangs with a rubber mallet it should come off without having to remove the whole caliper... same applies to the rear.. but the rears u dont need to change until maybe 80 - 100,000km because they barely get used .
If i was you.. I would just change the engine oil / filter and chuck some new brake pads on at 30,000km and ur fine
Its because the oil is expensive. Haldex oil is like $80-90 for 1 litre and the DSG oil is about $30odd dollars per litre and the transmission takes about 5L. Car needs to be level for both these oils to be changed which means you need a hoist or some other way to lift the car up and keep it level which most people wont have at home.
haldex oil is 80 - 90 per litre and dsg is 30 per litre ??.. but it uses the same oil ?
i bought 4litres of penrite dsg oil for $60 and a 1ltre topper for $15 for my DSG. cost me .. $75 and a filter for $20- $90 total
as for keeping the car even.. im pretty sure jack stands do that job
