Lost Keys - Both of them. Help

I lost both set of keys to my VW Golf 7 auto.

Car is open and in my garage.

I called VW assist and they said it needs to be towed to the dealership.

    Questions.

How will they tow the car when the handbrake is on and in P mode? There is no key to disengage the handbrake!!

Can't i get a set of key from the dealership without it being towed there?

Appreciate your advice and thoughts. Thanks

You can order new keys and remote fobs from VW, pre-cut.

They take about 14 days to arrive. At that point, you'll be able to open it and release the park brake, for it to be towed to the dealer to have the keys and remotes programmed.

As above, its expensive, and maybe worth speaking to your insurance company about.

They'll just skull-drag the car like they do with people parked in the clearway. If you're lucky they might put it on skates.

At least the car is open - often they have to smash a window if it's locked

Suggest you look harder for the keys.

Unfortunately dealer only for mk7. The best a locksmith can do for you is make a key that will turn in the locks but won't start your car, it should at least make it easier to get on a tow truck.

How do you loose both keys to a new car?

Don't be surprised, I still find the spare key and remote, as well as the valet key in the owners manual on a lot of cars, even after years of ownership.

Many people treat their spare keys like their spare tyre. Only worry about it when you need it.
