My car has keyless entry. If I leave one of the keys in the car and I have the other one on me, will this cause any issues, in terms of locking or unlocking the car.

I accidentally left one set in the boot when I was cleaning my Wolf for sale, then thought it had been lost on trade day.. only to discover I'd left them in there and happily locked/unlocked without realising via my other set (I'd gone as far as having the dealer organise a replacement at cost before discovering my brain fart).

I've locked mine in the boot before.
Had to wait for the gf to arrive with her set to let me in.

The only way to be certain what can happen is to experiment with your car. One concern I have is that if the key left in the car is close enough to a sensor your car might unlock if anyone touches the inside of the handle. If it stays locked then guard your other key very carefully - IIRC these cars are deadlocked and very hard to open a door without a key.

My Golf lock wont if the key is in front, but in the hatch, it doesn't care. It'll go ahead and lock.
What I did was approach the locked car, fob in my back pack. The car detected the key and opened the hatch. I put my back pack in and closed the hatch. The car went ahead and locked the car again.
Now I keep the key in my pocket, or I put my back pack on the back seat. It's fine there. Can start the car and drive around.

Seems a bit slack of the designers to not include a key proximity sensor in the boot and automatically unlock if a key is in there.
In the front in most cars with smart keys you cant lock keys in as they detect the key presence, and that also allows you to start the car.

100% agreed. That's why I'm surprised Kachingg can't lock in the Alltrack given same body (which is a good thing lol).
I can absolutely guarantee the R can lock with it in the boot, and be like that for a week, before dip**** owner realises and saves $500 on replacement lol.

Well I'm getting an R wagon so i hope to be able test and know whether to avoid that potential issue, but cant believe the hatches can have that issue.

I believe Kessy will effect the behavior.
With my Superb, I can lock the car with a key inside (say wife's keys in her handbag) as long as I have my key with me, in my pocket.
The car also knows if I leave the key in the boot (in a bag or something), and will refuse to lock if another key is not detected outside the car.
Basically, with kessy, it is near impossible to lock the key inside and b stranded.
