    That was extremely lucky.

    They don’t usually do that.

Yes I know, they mentioned this but due to a rep making a promise he couldn't come through with, VW decided to honour it rather than delay the issue further. I'm extremely grateful

Usually replacing clutch packs will solve the issues.

    Yours seem troublesome.

Yeah definitely, I've heard upgrading to heavy duty clutches fixes the issue, but they replaced clutches, mechatronics unit and then the whole transmission with no luck - massive lemon. The Golf is going well so far, fingers crossed

New golf is wet 7 speed.

    Should be way more durable.

However, all dual clutches are the same. Clutch packs all tear and wear.

Ya, I’ve seen a massive lemon Just picked up my new GTI! polo ending up trading by the owner herself.

    Lucky you.

The normal gti gets the dq 250 6 speed
Only the performance upgrade gets the 7 speed dq 381 well worth the extra cost to upgrade just for the gearbox upgrade its a peach

Yes I believe it's a 6 speed wet clutch, the 7 speed sounds amazing but I'm more than happy with what I have now!

I’ve got a 7.5 GTI manual. The latest in a long line stretching back to the MK4. It’s a great car for the money but I am seriously contemplating a cat back aftermarket exhaust as it is far too refined. Any recommendations? I’ve looked at a couple of Remus options but haven’t pulled the trigger yet as want to know if there are better products out there.
