    Interior lights stay on

MK 7.5 Wagon. 02/2017 build. Just recently the rear interior lights will not turn off unless the ignition is off. The front lights are OK - they dim down after a few seconds but the rear remain 'on'. It's a bit awkward on dark country roads with a blaze of light behind my head!
I have run OBCD diagnostics which do not show any problem.
    Any ideas, please?

Try fiddling with the light switches behind the interior rear view mirror, that should switch them off.

    This^^.
I think I’ve had the same problems myself, the switches are hard to tell if they are on or off!

If they are the same as a Tiguan there is one marker REAR and that turns them off. Get a torch and the manual and sort it out its not hard

Yep, that's what happened to me too, and that's how I knew what the solution probably was.

Yes, they are more difficult tha the Mk 6 switches, but that's not th problem.

I'm not at my vehicle now, but I recall lighting settings that may be related - look under 'ambient lighting' or something similar. There's Footwell & Door settings that I recall, but aren't sure if there are Ceiling lighting settings...I would've thought there wouldn't be an option to leave them on anyway since it's illegal to have them on all the time...Have you maybe tinkered with some settings yourself (that diagnostic testing somehow misses for whatever reason - may pay to reset to default settings if possible).

Oh another thing - how long are you waiting for the lights to turn off? I ask because there's a 'Coming Home' setting under 'Interior Lighting' that can be set as long as 30s, so check that..

So what have you done to stuff them up and as they are directly controlled by those switches coding something shouldnt have altered them.

If you give more info on what and why they wont turn off we may understand how to fix them
