Ditch the weirdo Original badge and those wheels and we finally can access a 3 door Mk7 at a sensible price point.

Well, adaptive suspension, for a start.

Kudos to VW for getting something really competitive out, and I wasn't the target for this anyway, but I wish they'd left that in

Good for the traditionalists, but I've always thought the 3-door looks off & the loss of practicality is a big negative for me (& my back).

Agree. The badge is a really easy fix and something I’d take off in the first 5 minutes of ownership.

VW need a better option than putting black wheels on a car for “special” editions. It just makes the car look heavy. Though still have to see it in person as black wheels are notoriously hard to photograph and look good as you almost always loose all the detail/contrast.

Given the cost cut they'd obviously not put on black Pretorias but that would have worked wonders.

Are these actually black or a very dark grey? All versions I have seen of the Sevilla have been dark grey as below/per the wheel thread link. It is another example of a stupidly fussy design for no reason, in many respects it is worse than the diamond cut stuff on other models.. dare I say I'd much prefer a Santiago or even a Ruby/Brescia/Bresica [sic]?

The red feature is just tacky - it has no place on a VW.

I actually quite like the look of the 3 door otherwise, but agree for me I want 5 doors for practicality and need it. But for someone who doesn't.. buying one of these and chucking on a quality set of wheels is great buying. Otherwise you're talking around $50k for an Edition 1 which admittedly gives you the 7 speed box.. lol and Brescia/Bresica [sic].

Side note: for some reason VW Oz called the fugly 40th anniversary wheels Ruby.. when the rest of the world calls them Brescia. Interestingly VW Oz are now calling them Bresica [sic] on their website which one has to assume is a typo - now copied by all the tools selling fake reps online.
