Golf R Mk7.5 Wheels

Hey guys
Has anyone changed the mags on this model. I'm considering a change to 18 x 8.5 with a 45 OS but I'm a bit worried about guard clearance. The local mag dealer suggests it' not a problem and VW won't comment.

I'm also worried about error codes appearing.

The current wheels are 18 x 8 with 50 os which means that 8.5 width will move the wheel 11.5mm closer to the guard.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

No difference between Mk7 and Mk7.5 - x 8.5 ET45 is accepted as the 'sweet spot' for a clean mid-range fitment i.e. not too aggressive, but not too 'weak'.

You will be fine, just buy a good wheel.

I am looking at 19x9.5 ET38 for my MK7.5 GTI lol. So you should be fine.

This is true. My rear diffuser is being put on today and got the car washed yesterday. So I will take a photo of the car as promised, so you can see I actually have a car =P
