Other than that everything has been great Car has done 3000kms (my15 Golf R dsg).

When I got my first VW (Jetta 2.0 Turbo with DSG) I discovered to my horror that if I held one foot on the brake and the other lightly on the accelerator hoping to get off to a quick start, when you release the brake, absolutely nothing happens for what seems like an eternity as throttle is disabled when brakes are applied and there is a delay when the brake is released. Is it possible that you've had both feet on the pedals at the same time? You need to ensure you slide your foot off the brake before you hit the throttle.
Cheers
George
