Hi folks,

I did a downpipe install in my MK7 R a couple of years ago which as we know requires detaching the prop shaft from the trans at the front. I realised that during the install I never marked the propshaft coupler to ensure it goes back in correct alignment from factory.

So fast forward 2 years and my car has developed a clicking/ticking noise when going about 40-70km/hr when moving in a straight line. It's only audible when I'm driving past a car or highway barrier (with windows down) for example, otherwise you wouldn't really hear it.

Could this be a possible cause to the noise due to unbalanced propshaft? is there a procedure to align it back?

I've already replaced front and rear wheel bearings and will be rebuilding the front CV axles soon (hopefully this could be it).
