That's a MK6.
MY13 doesn't mean that it appears in 2013

US model years are 1 ahead of the real year. They got a bit over-zealous in the 90s with trying to be ahead of other manufacturers and haven't bothered to fix the problem.

It's not that different here at times. My MY10 S3 was built in April 2009.

It won't be released in Europe until the 2013 motorshow's which puts it's arrival in the Aus market at early 2014 as per all the previous VW models.......

The Mk6 was first revealed in August 2008 and was on sale in Australia by February 2009 (GTI Sep/Oct of same year).

With the Mk7 now expected to debut in Berlin on 4 September, ahead of Paris, I'd expect to see the Mk7 in Australia early next year.

That is generally an appropriate time frame. Given that VAG is changing the whole production process to a format which can be essentially interchanged between models this is probably out of the window due to the need to make the production process more efficient & doing this ASAP

It is usual practice that the "press release" will be 9 months after the Euro release with a bunch of dealer models only, if you want a custom order it will be 2014.

Everything you are reading above is correct. Confirmed by my dealer. The last order for a MK6 is October. Any orders thereafter will be a MK7. GTI and R scheduled for back end of 2013.
