    Golf MK7 Alarm System

Just a quick question for anyone that had the alarm system fitted as factory option to your Golf MK7. The owner's manual talks about two different keys, one for Golfs fitted with an alarm system and one without as shown below. My golf was fitted with the alarm but I was not given a vehicle key with the alarm button.. I was wondering if this was the case for all Australian golf owners or there was a mistake made somewhere along the way?

Apologies for the photo quality it was taken from my phone.

    Cheers

Looks like a panic button. Is there a requirement for a car fitted with the factory alarm to have that specific key? I'm not sure.

With the Mk6, cars fitted with a factory alarm (so, all GTIs and Rs) did not get a different key or a panic button. I suspect that key is an option available in some markets only (and only in conjunction with an alarm).

    It's a panic button.

Not for the Australian market, and as far as I'm aware, you can't retrofit it.

Thanks for all the feedback guys.. I was aware it was a panic button, just wasn't to sure if it was a requirement for Golfs fitted with an alarm in Aus to have it.. By the sounds of it, it isn't!
