Rooboy, where did you find the 'voice enhancer' setting.
I've searched through the menus a couldn't see it.
The manual says it's in sound settings, but I can't see it.

    - hands free auto tail gate

The newly released Tiguan Adventure 132tsi with DAP seems to be a better alternative, with similar features, power/torque & price as the 135tdi, as well as the above 3 basic features.

    Thoughts from anyone?
this was a sticking point for myself, wanting the 110tdi golf highline due to the blind spot monitor/rear cross traffic alert, and 4 k cheaper. I currently drive a fully optioned passat b7 alltrack, that has side assist, and auto tailgate.
the tail gate is a bit of a pain because i have had my keys in my pocket multiple times and it has activated the tailgate open, hitting things. Its a nice thing the electric tailgate but after having it i dont think a dealbreaker.
i tried a golf 7 with the blind spot sensor, in comparison to the side assist that is on passats, tiguans & touaregs, and decided that the blind spot assist doesnt compare in practicality to side assist, because the indication light on the side assist is integrated into the mirror housing, and the way it works, is superior to blind spot. Side assist you can use your peripheral vision, read the way the light is flashing, & react to that. With the blind spot assist i feel you have to look an concentrate to see the light in the mirror, then check anyway as it is only reactive if a hazard is immediately in the blind zone. There is a different distance side assist and blind spot measure to an side assist uses 2 radars to calculate if a colision could occur, that is, it measures the speed of the oncoming hazard.
I haven't had rear cross traffic, but do see that it would be good.
deal breaker is that you can option a golf with dynaudio, and the driving dynamics

I'm looking forward to having rear cross traffic alert. These days I often find I'm parked next to a high 4WD, van or Ute with a canopy and it doesn't matter how flexible my neck is I still can't see through metal or fibreglass, so I end up backing out blind (very slowly and crossing my fingers there isn't a speeding idiot watching their smartphone instead of the surrounding traffic).

Sorry, I had meant to type it was in the infotainment manual. Same as you, I didn't find it in the sound menu when I went looking.

    Thanks for sharing.

I did some further research over the weekend on Tiguan Adventure MY18, it now comes with new 8" media unit from the Golf Alltrack Premium, also a bunch of new safety features - Rear manoeuvre braking, Enhanced Front Assist radar system with Pedestrian Recognition, Lane Assist with adaptive lane guidance, Traffic Jam Assist, Emergency Assist. The 360 surround view camera in Tiguan is also a handy bonus, which I don't think offered in Alltrack's DAP.

Will test drive the Adventure 132tsi next weekend, and see if can negotiate a driveaway deal similar to Alltrack's (RRP + $1500). It also has a 7-speed DSG, 320nm of torque, 7.7s 0-100km, hope it will be on-par with the 135tdi in terms of performance.

Good work rooboy i am currently at long term (2200km) 7.1 with a few long trips down to rye to play golf so it seems real world should be about 6.5ish+ or - .5 or so depending on driving style
How are you enjoying sports mode ?

Sports mode is good but I find eco mode coasts too much - with the yeti I was used to the dsg slowing me down more and conserving the brakes.

Did a round trip from Albury to Bendigo over the weekend, 4 adults, packed to the roof full of gear and returned 6.3. Once the motor is bedded in I would think close to 1000kms highway driving could be achieved. Very impressive.
