I love the rollon acceleration in 3rd and 4th vry powerful
7.2 is good to hear someone else who cant resist sports mode
S3 had more punch for sure, but torque of the tdi is really good, best described as effortless. VW in my opinion have finally nailed the DSG, this new 7sd wet clutch is a cracker! No hesitation off the line and is always in the correct gear which really helps eliminate any lag. I actually think this new tdi Alltrack could be quicker to maybe 50-60 than the S3.

Yeah i agree hund the 7 speed is just a ripper gearbox vw have tuned it well almost nil turbo lag always seems to be in the correct gear
It feels quick to i like how if you boot it in s mode off the line the rear just squats down almost like a dragster launch
I might have to time how long to 60 see how it stacks up
Also for a jacked up suspension it rides and handles vry well (still a fair bit of body roll if you really push it to the limit but its great up to about 8.5/10) think i might have to get the r rear sway bar it helps a lot, you can roll through the corners letting the torque pull you along feels vry powerful
Now i cant wait till after 1st service at 15000 so i can investigate tuning options another 35hp and 70nm of torque would turn it into a gti stomper

Would love to see some photo's of your beasty to mate shame you don't live in melbourne when rooboy get's his we could have got them together for a photo shoot

Do you guys have to break in the engine or does it come broken in already from the factory?

I was told to drive it normaly and rev it to 4000rpm (redline 4600) think i lasted till 350k before it saw redline lol

They basically come broken in from the factory nowdays no 1000k oil and filter change its straight up 15000k before next service

Rang my vw mechanic to check and he confirmed to just bring it in after 1 year or 15000klm

The only thing i was told was don't go for a long drive at contant rpm use the full rev range and avoid constant low rpm use for 1st 1000k
Think i managed that one ok
