Sensational mate, looking forward to hearing the outcome. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly, this is definitely on my list to do soon!

Would love like DV52 the process, but also would like if possible to know where you got everything from and part numbers.
I think this is probably a mod that is far above my skill and expertise but would like to get all of the parts together to get someone with the skills to complete it of me.

    Cheers
    Dawson

Ditto here too. I'm manually folding the mirrors in every time I get home.

Well...... the mirrors I received were the wrong ones and will be returned back (damn vw dealer who gave me the incorrect numbers). fortunately the dealer will take them back as they are the standard mirrors. This will give you and idea how to fit..... http://www.uspmotorsports.com/downlo...structions.pdf btw I used these instructions.

Comparing the actual pins on the modules unfortunately isn't an indication as the connector look indentical. I didn't take a good look at them when the door card was off at the time.

For example, if you look at your current modules (notwithstanding that you don't currently have fold-in mirrors) and then see if any of the pins are populated according to my pin-pout diagram (which is really from peekay's document

Hooray in an finally working.... On the Performance Pack the controllers were required (can't speak for the standard GTI).

The part numbers are correct Booba provided.

    Left Mirror 5G2 857 507 CA 9B9
    Right Mirror 5G2 857 508 AJ 9B9
    Switch 5G0 959 565 AA ICX

A couple of things to the note the instructions from USP Motor Sport are correct. But the wiring to move the door skin on the drivers side is a little more fiddly ...I was upside upside down looking up the door..... you don't need to remove the door skin completely on either door (the door handle cable) just lay some cardboard down so the skin does not get damaged. Routing the cables can be a little difficult but if you get the grabby thing from supercheap auto and a magnet then is to hard.

Important One thing to note..... do not try and fold the mirrors manually they are not spring loaded like the factory standard mirrors. You must use the Switch or the keyfob to lose them or you will break them. I followed the coding from USP motor sport not sure if Booba can add anything here. The manual says go to the Car Setup Mirrors but I can't see any thing will have another look tomorrow to Auto close them on lock.... I have to hold the lock button on the Fob for them to close or use the switch. Video and PICs attached. Last pic is the video.
