Hi all,
We’re looking at buying a used mk7 Golf R but having trouble finding exactly what was on the factory options list before the mk7.5 came out. As far as I can gather the options for the mk7 were:
- driver assistance package
- premium audio
- sunroof
- leather seats (now standard in the mk7.5)
Sorry if this is posted somewhere before - I searched the forum but would happily review the old thread if someone has a link.
Re the driver assistance package and the premium audio, are there easy ways to visually see these are fitted as the Carsales listings seem inaccurate sometimes. I believe the icon for the cruise control on the left side of the steering wheel is slightly different if ACC is fitted.
Cheers
MY08 Mk5 GT Sport - sold
MY14 Tiguan 118TSI - sold (Mazda3 SP25GT in its place)
MY16 Golf 7R: sold (Caterham Super 7 and Hyundai i30N in its place)
My MY14 was the same
DAP
Sunroof
DSG
and standard leather.
You wrong. Leather was an option until MY16 was released in mid-late 2015. The standard was the awful grey/cream colour alacantra/cloth.

Thanks for the replies. A fair few of the used mk7 R's do have the fabric seats - seems to feature on the earlier 2014/15 ones.
Any idea of there is a visual way to tell in photos if the Driver Assistance Package is fitted?
Cheers
The drivers assist radar will be a black box in the lower front grill under the VW badge
Quite a ugly looking thing makes a mess of the lower black grill
Easy to spot in photos tho
VW fixed it in the 7.5 now its incorporated into the vw badge on the front
