The Epc light came back on after 10min of driving and is staying on and the car feels like its lost most of its power and struggles to maintain speed on hills . I'm taking it in Monday the 8th for a scan at my local mechanic. Fingers crossed it won't cost too much to fix .

Far better to take it to VW who have the correct scanner for their cars

Did you get the car scanned?

    What did they find?
    All fixed now?

Had it scanned by VW and they said the cam shaft valve adjuster needs to be replaced, easy job $150 but they also said the water pump needs replacing as its not allowing the proper levels of coolant to flow, $1400 for this.

$1400 for the lot would be enough
